Placing your bet

This year’s European Championship will take place from June 14^th, 2024 to July 14^th, 2024 with 24 participating teams. For this purpose, we are organizing an online prediction game in which a total of 51 individual matches are to be predicted. The aim is to predict the results of all matches as accurately as possible and collect as many points as possible.

The prediction for a match must be submitted before the official start of the match. After that, the prediction acceptance closes automatically, and further predictions cannot be entered even if the start of the match is delayed.

Points awarded for match predictions

Points can be collected for each exact correct result or correct tendency. The points are awarded according to the following system:

4 points = exactly correct result (e.g. prediction 2:1 and result 2:1)
3 points = correct tendency and correct goal difference (e.g. prediction 2:1 and result 3:2, or prediction 0:0 and result 1:1)
2 points = correct tendency (e.g. prediction 2:1 and result 4:0)
0 points = wrong prediction (e.g. prediction 2:1 and result 0:3)

Note: the evaluation of the points is based on the official final game results including extra time and penalty shoot-outs. Points are awarded with a slight time delay by the integrated live score service during the match. This generally only takes a few minutes to compare the scores and points.

Points awarded for bonus questions

In addition to bets on matches, further points can be collected by answering bonus questions. When assessing the bonus questions, the only distinction made is between “right” and “wrong”. The expiry time for answering the individual bonus questions is also the end of the first matchday (group stage) on June 18^th, 2024 at 23:59. After this time you will unfortunately no longer be able to save your answer and valuable points will be lost.

Note: Unless otherwise stated, points for bonus questions will normally be added at the end of the prediction game. It may also be possible in exceptional cases, however, to view points at the end of all the group stage matches (e.g. bonus questions about the group winners). The number of bonus points received can be seen in the rankings.

Prediction teams

The football prediction game offers the opportunity to create your own prediction team (group) or to join existing groups. Both of these options are only possible until the end of the third matchday (group stage) until June 26^th, 2024 at 23:59 (#alternatively enter your own settings here#).

Each group has an individual access protection (password). Only those who know the group password can join the prediction team. Points for the group are not calculated according to group size but by taking the average of the points achieved by all members. This gives a group consisting of just a few members the same chance to win as a group made up of a very large number of members.

Note: Every player who joins a group will, of course, also continue to collect points for the ranking as a single player.
