Participation conditions

The participation in the soccer European Championship prediction game of #COMPANY#, hereinafter referred to as the operator or organizer, is free of charge and is governed exclusively by these participation conditions.

Procedure of the prediction game

The soccer European Championship 2024 will take place from June 14^th, 2024 to July 14^th, 2024 with 24 teams and 51 matches. Participants of the prediction game can submit their own predictions online for the final results of these matches. The goal is to predict the results of all matches as accurately as possible and to collect as many points as possible.

Participation

To participate in the prediction game, a one-time free registration is necessary. For this purpose, the online form must be filled out and submitted. Registration is still possible after the start of the Soccer World Cup .

In order to successfully save a prediction for a match, it must be entered before the official start of the match. After the official start of the match, the prediction acceptance closes automatically, and further predictions can no longer be saved – even in the event of a delayed start of the match.

Only one transmitted registration per participant will take part in the prediction game. It is strictly forbidden to use multiple e-mail addresses or multiple profiles to increase the chances of winning. Double registrations will not be taken into account for the awarding of prizes and may lead to disqualification from the competition. The operator cannot be held responsible for late or incomplete entries.

Participation in the prediction game is free of charge.

Points awarded for predictions and bonus questions

The participant receives four points for guessing the exact match result. For prediction of the correct tendency and at the same time the correct goal difference the participant receives three points. If the participant predicts the tendency of a match correctly, he will receive two points. If neither the result nor the tendency is correct, the participant receives zero points.

The officially determined result after the entire match time (= 90 minutes + extra time including penalty shootout) is decisive for the evaluation.

In the evaluation of the bonus questions, a distinction is only made between „correct“ and „incorrect“. Bonus questions can only be answered until the deadline defined in the prediction game.

Eligible participants

Natural persons who are resident in #Germany / country XYZ# and have reached the age of 16 are eligible to participate. Participation is not restricted to customers of the organizer and is not dependent on the purchase of goods or services.

Should a participant be restricted in his legal capacity, the consent of his legal representative is required.

All persons and employees of the organizer involved in the conception and implementation of the prediction game as well as their family members are eligible to participate – but not to be considered for the awarding of prizes. In addition, the organizer reserves the right, at its own discretion, to exclude persons from participation if there are justified reasons, for example

(a) in the event of manipulation in connection with access to or implementation of the prediction game, (b) in the event of violations of these participation conditions, (c) in the event of unfair practices or (d) in the event of false or misleading information in connection with participation in the prediction game.

Winning, notification and transmission of prizes

The following prizes will be awarded:

The prize will be awarded to the participants who have scored the highest number of points in the prediction game and who are not excluded from participating in the prediction game. If several players have reached the same maximum number of points, the prizes will be awarded in a random draw among the participants concerned.

#Useful additional passage if you want to use prediction teams in your prediction game.#

Creating a prediction team is only possible until MM/DD/YYYY at HH:MM (see your settings in the administration area). After this time a group must consist of three or more players to allow a fair group comparison. Groups consisting of only one or two members will not be considered in the awarding of prizes and will be removed from the group rankings.

(Note: please consider our description as a sample only. You can of course award the winnings in the number and by mode as you wish. If you also want to provide prizes for prediction teams, it makes sense to award the prizes to e.g., „the best 10 players of the winning prediction team“. Also, you should clearly describe in the participation conditions from which minimum number of players you want to count a prediction team as such, e.g., from 3 group members)

The winners of the prediction game will be informed about the prize in a timely manner via a separate e-mail.

The prize will only be handed over/delivered to the winner or to the legal representative of the underage winner. An exchange, a self-collection and a cash payment of the prize are not possible.

Any costs incurred for shipping the prizes will be covered by the organizer. Any additional costs associated with claiming the prize shall be borne by the winner. The winner is responsible for any taxation of the prize.

If the winner does not respond after two requests within a period of 3 weeks, the prize can be transferred to another participant.

Termination of the prediction game

The organizer explicitly reserves the right to terminate the prediction game without prior notice or provision of reasons. This applies in particular for reasons that would disrupt or prevent the running of the competition as planned.

Data protection

Participation in the competition requires the provision of personal data. Participants assure that the personal information they have provided, in particular their first name, last name and e-mail address, are true and correct.

The organizer points out that all personal data of the participant will neither be passed on to third parties nor given to them for use without consent.

One exception to this is the company responsible for operating the prediction game – Happy Contests GmbH – which needs to collect, store and use the data to carry out the prediction game.

In the event that the participant wins a prize, they consent to the publication of their name and location in the promotional media used by the organizer. This includes the announcement of the winners on the organizer’s website and social media platforms.

Participants may revoke their declared consent at any time. The revocation must be addressed in writing to the contact details of the organizer provided in the imprint area of the prediction game. After revocation of the consent, the collected and stored personal data of the participant will be deleted immediately.

Applicable law

Questions or complaints relating to the prediction game should be addressed to the organizer. Contact details can be found in the imprint area of the prediction game.
The prediction game of the operator is exclusively subject to the law of #the Federal Republic of Germany, country XYZ#. The legal process is excluded.

Severability clause

Should any provision of these participation conditions be or become invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these participation conditions. In place of the invalid provision, the legally permissible provision that comes closest in economic terms to the meaning and purpose expressed in the invalid provision shall apply. The same applies in the event of a regulatory gap in these participation conditions.
